Diploma in Reflexology

Pre-requisite: Students must hold or be studying the ITEC Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology. Can be studied in conjunction with Holistic Massage.

Reflexology uses the feet as a diagnostic map of the whole body. This  therapy rebalances the body through applying gentle but firm pressure to certain parts of the feet which correspond to bodies systems.

Course content includes the following:

• History, theories and philosophies of Reflexology and it’s origins
• Code of practice and ethics for Reflexologists
• Benefits and effects of Reflexology
• The structure of the foot and ankle
• Methods of consultation
• Contraindications in Reflexology
• Disorders and conditions of the feet
• Clients reactions to treatments
• Aftercare advice
• Referral procedures

Course Duration: 25 weeks

Starts Tuesday September 2012.
